Community activities

Shanty town
Community support is part of what we do, Shanty town is an event that helps the community and youth understand the hardship of being home less. The Knights volunteer and donate to the event hosted by habitat for humanity.

Tootsie roll Drive
The tootsie roll drive is held about the end of April. All proceeds of the drive go to help people with intellectual disabilities.

Charity Raffle
The State wide raffle give you two chances to win with the Second Change Drawing held at the Council level. The proceeds of the raffle are used to alleviate sorrow, ease financial burdens and restore hope to victims and families affected by accidents, illness of other disasters. Ticket are sold form January to April please contact Lyman Hahn Jr at 608-592-4731 for more information.

Baby Bottle Campaign
The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring the "Change for Life" Baby Bottle Campaign again this year at St. Patrick Church. Knights will distribute baby bottles after Mass in October. The Knight donates 100% of the gifts collected in the baby bottles during the campaign to the Columbia County Crisis Center to support women with unplanned, unanticipated or stressful pregnancies.

Youth activities

Soccer Challenge
The soccer challenge is open to boys and girls age 9 to 14. Participants have 15 attempts at kicking the ball into the goal and score is based on placement of the ball in the goal. Winners at the council leave will advance on to the district competition.

Free Throw Contest
The Free Throw contest is open to boys and girls age 10 to 14. The event is usually held in the month of January. Winners at the council leave advance on to the district competition. An entry form is available here.

Scholarships
The Lodi Knights of Columbus awards two scholarships to current high school graduates of are parish community St Micheals or St Patrick's Parish. Applications can be picked up at St Patrick's Parish office during the month of May. Application Deadline is April 1 and due back to St Patrick's Parish Office.

Church activities

Catholic Schools Week
In support of Catholic Schools Week we have been holding a pancake breakfast at St Micheals School with all proceeds donated to the school. Look forward to the event in late January.

Men's Retreat
Every year the Knight help organize a silent retreat at The Redemptorist Retreat Center in Oconomowoc,Wisconsin. Along with the members that go we send a small donation to help suppory the center.

Council activities

Nut Sales
Nuts are sold after Mass on weekends from about mid October though Christmas. You may contact David E. Munz at 608-438-1924 for more information.

Sweet Heat Dinner
Every year in place of are February meeting we organize a dinner at one of the local establishments for our members and there wives to celibate some brother ship.

Chicken Dinner
This a great meal put on to raise funds to help us accomplish our mission. The chicken is grilled to perfection by some of our members. The event usually happen in late April early May.
